PIZZA INN AWARDS MICHAEL MOORE FRANCHISEE OF THE YEAR FOR 2006

The Colony, Texas – August 2, 2007 -- PIZZA INN INC. (NASDAQ:PZZI)  Pizza Inn has recognized franchisee Michael Moore from Hobbs, New Mexico, as the recipient of its 2006 Franchisee of the Year Award. The prestigious award, presented at the chain’s National Franchise Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia, honors the chain’s outstanding operator for the past twelve months.

Moore and his wife CaraBeth began their career with Pizza Inn in 1997, opening their first restaurant in Hobbs, New Mexico. The couple subsequently acquired two additional Pizza Inn restaurants in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and most recently opened Pizza Inn Lanes and Games – integrating the brand’s newest buffet restaurant design with a family-oriented game room and bowling alley - in nearby Artesia, New Mexico.

“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this recognition from Pizza Inn,” said Moore.  “I must first acknowledge my incredible staff whose contributions are the key to our success. I would also like to thank the team at Pizza Inn, Inc.  My partners at Corporate are a constant source of support and encouragement, and have helped me offer the best products and services to our customers.”

“Michael and his family’s passion is evident to everybody who knows him,” said Pizza Inn President and CEO Tim Taft. “His spirit of teamwork and impressive sales are a fine example of how to run a successful Pizza Inn franchise.  It’s this special combination that makes him an invaluable part of the Pizza Inn team today and in the future.”

PIZZA INN AWARDS GREG CLAIRDAY “DIFFERENCE MAKER” AWARD

The Colony, Texas – August 2, 2007 -- PIZZA INN INC. (NASDAQ:PZZI)  Pizza Inn has recognized Greg Clairday of Jonesboro, Arkansas, as the recipient of the chain’s “Difference Maker” award, presented at Pizza Inn’s National Franchise Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia.  The award is given annually to the Pizza Inn franchisee with an outstanding record of providing an exceptional customer experience, as well as someone who has made significant contributions to other franchisees in the Pizza Inn family.

“This year, Greg  was an easy choice for us as he fits those criteria to a tee” stated Tim Taft, President and CEO of Pizza Inn, Inc.  “Greg is always first to give of his time and energy to the Pizza Inn system, and is a constant source of calm and expertise for the system to tap into.  We're proud of him and I know his family is too.”

Clairday began his career with Pizza Inn while still in his teens, helping his father, Pizza Inn franchisee Bobby Clairday, with the family’s Jonesboro restaurant. Starting as a cook, the younger Clairday grew with the company, eventually moving into management following his graduation from Arkansas State University in 1983.  In 1998, he became an Area Developer for the Arkansas region, providing store-level supervision and consultation.  He currently serves as Vice President of Clairday Foods, a family-owned business based out of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and serves on Pizza Inn’s national advertising board of directors (PIAP).

“It’s quite an honor to receive this award, even more so when you consider the caliber of my fellow Pizza Inn franchisees,” said Clairday. “Being recognized for what you do by the people and brand you work with is a great feeling”.

Pizza Inn a vital part of the community since opening in 1977 - Elizabethton, TN

Elizabethton, TN

Elizabethton’s Pizza Inn has been a vital part of the community since it first opened it’s doors in 1977 and that’s exactly how present owners Tim and Jan Broome like it.

The restaurant strives to be involved in area schools. They provide banners to athletic teams and sponsor T-Ball and Little League teams in the area. In addition, Pizza Inn allows band boosters and athletic boosters to purchase pizzas at a reduced cost to re-sell at their concession stands during athletic events.

For the past five or six years, Pizza Inn has given back to the community, in a major way, through “Thursday Night Fundraisers.” Any group wanting to hold a fundraiser at Pizza Inn must agree to handle such responsibilities as greeting guests, waiting tables, cleaning tables and washing dishes.

The group is also responsible for distributing fliers and inviting people to attend the event. Pizza Inn’s management staff and hourly employees offer supervision and assistance during the event, but most of the work is carried out by the volunteers conducting the fundraiser.  In return, the group gets to keep their tips and a portion of the proceeds.

In 2006, Pizza Inn gave back $36,700 to the community through “Thursday Night Fundraisers.”  So far, this year, the restaurant has given back $14,723.

To Jan and Tim, the staff and management at Pizza Inn are like family.  Jan grew up working at the restaurant which was previously owned and operated by her parents.  After their marriage, Jan and Tim took over the Elizabethton restaurant.  Tim already owned Pizza Inn locations in South Carolina.  A number of employees have been with them since they opened, with a few being employed for more than 15 years.  It seems employees tend to work long term at Elizabethton’s Pizza Inn.  Some members of the current staff are children of former employees.

Pizza Inn recently expanded their buffet into an “all-day, every-day” buffet featuring pizza, pasta, salad and more, thus catering to those who like to enjoy an early dinner or possibly a late lunch.

Pizza Inn, located at 101 Hudson Drive, Elizabethton, is open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  The drive-thru window opens at 7:30 a.m. each day for breakfast pizza orders.  The restaurant’s phone number is 423-542-6800.  Call ahead for any large order and they can also deliver.
